چکیده
Here, super-macroporous cryogel from a natural polysaccharide, pullulan was synthesized using cryo-crosslinking technique with divinyl sulfone (DVS) as crosslinker. The hydrolytic degradation of the in various simulated body fluids (pH 1.0, 7.4, and 9.0 buffer solutions) evaluated. It observed that much faster pH 9 solution than 1.0 7.4 solutions same time period. weight loss at within 28 days determined 31% ± 2%. To demonstrate controllable drug delivery potential cryogels via degradation, an antibiotic, ciprofloxacin, loaded into (pullulan-cipro), loading amount calculated 105.40 2.6 µg/mg. release ciprofloxacin pullulan-cipro investigated vitro 37.5 °C physiological conditions 7.4). released 24 h 39.26 3.78 µg/mg, which is equal to 41.38% 3.58% drug. Only 0.1 mg found inhibit half growing Escherichia coli (E. coli) Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) colonies for 10 min totally eradicated 2 by antibiotic. No significant toxicity on L929 fibroblast cells drug-loaded cryogel. In contrast, even 1 revealed slight (e.g., 66% 9% cell viability) because high concentration

Albumin-based nanoparticles as potential controlled release drug delivery systems.
Albumin, a versatile protein carrier for drug delivery, has been shown to be nontoxic, non-immunogenic, biocompatible and biodegradable. Therefore, it is ideal material to fabricate nanoparticles for drug delivery. Albumin nanoparticles have gained considerable attention owing to their high binding capacity of various drugs and being well tolerated without any serious side-effects. The current ...

Controlled release drug delivery systems 1 are those dosage formulations designed to release an active ingredient at rates, which differ significantly from their corresponding conventional dosage forms. The controlled release drug delivery systems are aimed at controlling the rate of drug delivery, sustaining the duration of therapeutic activity and/or targeting the delivery of the drug to a ti...

متن کاملControlled release systems for DNA delivery.
Adapting controlled release technologies to the delivery of DNA has the potential to overcome extracellular barriers that limit gene therapy. Controlled release systems can enhance gene delivery and increase the extent and duration of transgene expression relative to more traditional delivery methods (e.g., injection). These systems typically deliver vectors locally, which can avoid distributio...
